Taught by:  Lindsay Sprunk

Lindsay is an Indiana native, having graduated from Noblesville High School before attending Indiana University Bloomington where she majored in Kinesiology with a concentration in Fitness Specialization, as well as double minoring in both Nutrition Science and Dance. It was during her years pursing these degrees at IU that Lindsay discovered a talent for and love of cooking. Deciding to become vegan while in college, a lifestyle she’s maintained for over 20 years now, forced her to spend more time in the kitchen cooking for herself, which in turn led to a hobby of recipe testing and development. After winning several contests for her original recipes, this spawned a new path after finishing at IU in the pursuit of a degree in Culinary Arts. She attended the Le Cordon Bleu Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago, studying both Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry, and following the completion of her coursework, taught at the school as an instructor in a variety of culinary courses.

Since then, Lindsay has worked professionally as a chef and culinary/nutrition consultant in the restaurant and catering industry, as a recipe developer having had her recipes featured in such publications as Taste of Home as a recurring contributor and the Old Farmer’s Almanac as well as several cookbooks, as a culinary consultant and recipe developer for Whole Foods Market, and even worked on tour as a chef for musicians such as Enrique Iglesias, Selena Gomez, Eric Clapton, and privately for Dolly Parton’s family while living in Nashville.

In 2016, Lindsay moved to NYC where she made the switch over to the personal/private chef side of the culinary world, working intimately one-on-one with clients in their homes on their culinary and nutrition needs, where she worked until 2019 before making the move to Boston to continue working as a personal/private chef. In 2020, Lindsay added two additional certifications to her education, as an Intuitive Eating Specialist and also as an Eating Disorders Recovery Coach for which she hoped to use her culinary and nutrition background in Culinary Therapy as a means of treatment in eating disorders recovery.

Having recently moved back to the Indianapolis area with her boyfriend of 8 years and their four-legged pride and joy Ella, Lindsay is looking forward to utilizing her background in several areas of wellness to help others find a balance in their well-being and maybe even discover a love or talent of their own in the kitchen.
